I'g rocking my baby and babies don't continue.

It's possible that Mary Maxim catalog might have it; otherwise, get to a craft store and look in all of their catalogs.

The version I know goes similar this:

I hope my children await back on today and run across a mum who had fourth dimension to play.
There will be years for cleaning and cooking but children grow onetime while we're not looking -

So settle downwardly cobwebs,
dust go to sleep
I'g cuddling my children
'Cos children don't keep.

Another one I similar is:

Watch over her Lord,
This kid that I love.
Watch over her Lord
From your heaven above.
Keep her from suffering,
Loved let her be.
Watch over her Lord
As you've watched over me.

Babies Don't Keep

Female parent, oh Mother,
come up shake out your fabric,
empty the dustpan,
poison the moth,
hang out the washing
and butter the breadstuff,

sew together on a button and brand up a bed.

Where is the mother whose firm
is so shocking?
She'south up in the plant nursery,
blissfully rocking.
Oh, I've grown shiftless as Little
Boy Blue (lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

Dishes are waiting and bills are past due
(pat-a-block, darling, and peek, peekaboo).
The shopping'southward not done
and at that place's nothing for stew
and out in the yard there's a hullabaloo
but I'm playing Kanga and this is my Roo.
Look! Aren't her optics the virtually wonderful hue?
(lullaby, rockaby, lullaby loo).

The cleaning and scrubbing
will wait till tomorrow,
for children grow upwards,
equally I've learned to my sorrow.
Then quiet down, cobwebs.
Dust go to sleep.
I'm rocking my babe and babies don't keep'

Ladies -

This one is as former as the hills (and me)! Information technology is the terminal refrain from "Vocal for a 5th Child" by Ruth Hamilton.

I don't remember it being cantankerous stitched but, this poem hung over our kitchen sink all my life. Seems information technology was a print with a female parent rocking a baby & pans & diverse cleaning items floating effectually. It was longer than the 4 bones lines merely it defin. didn't have Kanga & Roo in it. Seems as the many years have gone by it'southward been added to & parts taken from. I wonder if information technology'southward posible to see that one in the 1938 'Ladies Home Journal?

I crewel embroidered this in 1979 for my son and years afterward gave it to my church. When they remodeled, it was lost. I so wish I had it back to hang in the spare room for my grandchildren.
